Our mission is to promote all aspects of Nordic skiing in Grand County, Colorado.


Grand County Nordic News:

  • Grand Winter Sports Carnival A celebration to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the 1911/1912 Hot Sulphur Springs, Colorado winter carnival, the birth of the ski industry in the west.

    • Carnival Closing Cermony Cottonwood Pass Mailbag Trek Feb 11th

      THE TREK: Starts mid-morning at the historic Coulter Post Office off Hwy 40 at the western base of Red Dirt Hill and goes to Hot Sulphur Springs, approximately 8 miles. The official start time is 10am but trekkers can leave as early as 19am. Registration starts at 830am.
      Skiers will carry a backpack with weight representing the mail to be delivered. (15 lbs for men, 10lbx for women)
      There will be an Aid station - ski patrol - and a free Shuttle bus from Hot Sulphur to the start at the old Coulter House Post Office at 815am and 9am.

  • Grand Nordic Pasta Dinner, Bonfire and Moonlight Ski Sat. March 3rd
    In conjunction with the Snow Mountain Stampede, Grand Nordic will have a pasta dinner starting at 6:00 p.m.
    Followed by a bonfire and a moonlight ski
