Grand Nordic has just received a $14,406 grant geared toward outfitting the X-Country Cruisin' Program, the EGMS Team & the MPHS Team. The XC Cruisin' program will receive 10 pair of Fischer SC skate skis and 10 pair of Fischer RCS Spring Crown JR. skis and 20 pair of bindings. EGMS will receive 16 pair Fischer classic Skis, 16 pair classic bindings and 16 pair of Salomon Combi boots. And finally, the High school team is set to receive 24 sets of Swix warm ups and race suits. Grand County Skiers will be stylin' for many seasons to come!
The entities that contributed to this huge grant were: The Lennox Foundation, ($12,506); Grand Nordic Club ($500); East Grand School District ($1,000); and In-Kind ($900). The in-kind involves mounting and waxing of 36 pair of skis.
